50501 Movement Sees Record Turnout in Cowlitz County

The 50501 Movement in Cowlitz County, led by local organizers Lori Pressley and Rosemary Siipola, brought together over 1,500 community members in a remarkable display of unity and civic engagement. Residents from across the county gathered to stand up for fairness, accountability, and a more transparent local government, demonstrating the growing momentum behind grassroots action in our region.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Pressley, Siipola, and countless volunteers, the event remained peaceful and well-coordinated. Organizers ensured that participants had the information and support they needed to make their voices heard safely. Apart from one unfortunate incident involving a group of MAGA supporters attacking a protestor, the gathering proceeded with minimal disruption and showcased the community’s commitment to peaceful advocacy.

The success of the 50501 Movement highlights how everyday people in Cowlitz County are stepping up to shape the future of our towns and neighborhoods. As more residents get involved, the local Democratic community continues to grow stronger, proving that when neighbors come together, real change is possible.

Note: The Cowlitz County Democratic Party is not affiliated with the 50501 Movement, but we generally support their goals.
